Revive
Located at the Dibble workshop is a designated room where the Paul Dibble archives are stored. This archive consists of hard copies of the database of artworks; catalogues; scrapbooks holding exhibition installation images, invitations and reviews; articles; film footage and ephemera.
Dibble Studio also undertakes the refurbishment of sculptures by Paul Dibble. Some of the more significant projects to date include:
Fury in the Garden, 1988
An early artwork it, atypically, is made in folded steel. It was altered several times by the artist before being purchased by a private buyer. Later it was gifted to Palmerston North Girls’ High School. In 2024 Dibble Studio, working with the school, took on the task of fully refurbishing the work and in placing it in a more prominent position, one which allowed the public to view the sculpture from the street outside the school grounds.
DIMENSIONS | 1300 x 1000 x 1000 MM (OF FIGURE)
Defining the Homelands, 1999
This sculpture stands in the grounds of Whanganui Collegiate. In 2026 the work was taken back to the studio and re-patinated.
DIMENSIONS | 3200 x 800 x 800 mm
